Marine Survey: Navy Osprey PTF-23

We are ending 2019 with a very unique Navy class Osprey Patrol Boat (PTF-23). This is an 95' aluminum hull vessel and only 1 of 4 produced for the Navy. Copied from the class called the NASTY, an 85' wooden vessel, this configuration was an upgraded design made of aluminum for heavy load, speed and maneuverability in 1968. Now decommissioned and converted into a research vessel, this will be heading to the Bahamas to assist with humanitarian relief efforts in the near future.
